”i believe our adventure through time has taken a most serious turn” - Ted Theodore Logan
i’ve been writing new music for over half a year now. i keep all my lyrics in a hard back notepad which i got from tesco, it was an impulse by if anything, but i’m glad i got it. looking back over my first few entries, my writing has come a long long way, and i can’t wait to get these songs recorded.
skype with simon today to talk about the show coming up this week (i unfortunately overslept band practice due to a nap). the show is going to be fantastic, we’ve never played camden before either.
i keep watching bill & ted on repeat, gonna have to dress up as ted for a fancy dress party.
so unfortunately
practice was cancelled tonight, but moved to thursday so good times all round. we’re playing an acoustic show in camden, in exactly a week. our set is probably going to be mainly covers and old material, i think we might throw in a cover of “in spite of all the danger” by the quarrymen.
promotions been going well today, nearly 100 likes on facebook, 900 followers on twitter, it’s not bad going.
had a chat today with a friend of mine, chris lent. it’s crazy how you can have 1000’s of facebook friends, and post a stupid fuck status about pizza and 50 people will notice it, yet if you’re trying to promote a band or your art or something, only 5 people will. that’s the fucked up world we live in.
in saying that, i do love pizza. - Jack
“don’t let your mouth get you into something your ass can’t handle”
we’re on the same clothing line as these guys, they’re releasing their new record on march the 13th so check it out. - Jack
it’s weird.
i always find myself a lot more creative in lyrical writing when i’ve stayed up all night, which is happening far too often. apparently, it’s been sunny recently? - Jack
Will you marry me and share to responsibilty of raising 7 children on a $50 a week wage?
i think on this occasion i’ll have to pass, but thank you for the great opportunity.
hanging out with simon tomorrow night to practice for the acoustic show we’ve got coming up on the 6th of march. if you’re in camden that night, head down to bar vinyl.
watched the movie ‘nowhere boy’ last night, it’s about the adolescent years of john lennon. for those who haven’t seen it, it’s definitely a worth watch. (pictured is when paul comes round johns house for the first time for a practice, it kinda fitted with the post subject).
